i had no idea about the wellesley chocolate cake being used as contraband, although i think i did know that my alma mater banned sweets at one point.  what a bunch of weirdos.  also what good could possibly come of bringing together a bunch of over-achieving women and *not* giving them access to chocolate?

also, i can’t bring up dessert at wellesley and not at least *mention* peppermint stick pie, a cult favorite among wellesleyites.  that’s chocolate graham crust filled with peppermint ice cream, topped with chocolate syrup.

in other news, as i sit on my bed and think about cake, one of the kitties is nursing on my microfleece bathrobe.  2 out of the 3 kitties i live with seem to be really into that fabric and i’m really not sure as to why.
